The RBS Six Nations Weekend Round Up |
With the second weekend of the RBS Six Nations 2014 having treated rapturous crowds to an array of
fierce encounters, a number of excellent and exciting battles were enjoyed by
the rugby world. Indeed, Ireland continued from their fantastic win over
Scotland last week with an outstanding 26-3 win over last year’s winners Wales
at the formidable Aviva Stadium, seeing them now boast first place in the
championship.
England’s visit to Murrayfield also saw them win the
much revered Calcutta Cup, venting their frustrations from last week’s narrow
defeat to France as they beat Scotland 20-0 with five different scorers.
Certainly, the game was filled with fierce encounters and electric energy as the
two sides did battle, treating fans to a truly enticing spectacle. Additionally,
France were looking to further capitalise on their exciting win over England as
they locked horns with an Italian side whose steely determination made for a momentous
clash. France’s brute power however managed to win the encounter 30-10 with
three tries treating fans to a thrilling encounter.
Indeed, Scotland’s next match will see them travel
to Italy on the 22nd February in what will ensure to be a fierce
clash, with both sides looking to win in what will be a truly exciting for all
to enjoy. Come the 8th of March, Scotland will then play France in
their second game of the championship in what will ensure to be a fantastic
clash. Scotland’s last battle will see them travel to the Millennium Stadium to
lock horns with Wales in a truly exciting spectacle of rugby delights.
